Congratulations Scholarship Recipients!

NiKiaya Mahone (left) and LaKisha Martin (right) were the 2009 scholarship recipients.  Both are graduates of Beecher High School and both are bound for the University of Michigan-Flint.  NiKiaya will be engaged in a dual major of criminal justice and sociology.  She was very active in volunteer work while at Beecher and will graduate seventh (7th) in her class.  LaKisha was designated the 2nd Annual Owen Fisher Memorial Scholarship recipient and will study health care administration at the University of Michigan-Flint. While at Beecher, she was active in Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Carriage Town Ministries, Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church Youth Group, Kettering University Creek Pre-College program as well as Marching Band majorettes and the "Buc Explosion Dance Team."  Great job Jim Murdock and his committee for their great work in identifying these outstanding students!
