Baker Team Takes 2nd Place

Baker College placed 2nd out of 28 teams in the College & University Division of the Detroit Marathon Relay on Sunday October 17th. Each college team had five runners (faculty, staff and students, or a combination). The five legs of the 26.2 mile course through Detroit and Windsor varied in length from 3.0 to 6.6 miles. Mike Heberling ran the 6 mile second leg from Canada back to the US through the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel. Overall, Baker College placed 18th out of all the 596 relay teams competing in every division.  The Baker team completed the marathon in 3 hours and 11 minutes.
