Happy holidays! We and other Rotarians across the globe love this time of year because we can continue to do what we do best: help others!
Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship. Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group who share your drive to give back.
On July 19th, 2024, organizations across Genesee County came out to support the Rotary Club of Greater Flint Sunrises' 32nd Annual Golf Outing. To say the weather was beautiful is an understatement...
It was a special morning at Rotary Club of Greater Flint Sunrise on July 10th, as we said thank you to our 2023-24 President, Ashoka Rao, and welcome to our 2024-25 President, Necole Hayes!
Necole, we know you are going to do amazing things as you lead our club this year.

One of our favorite activities is transforming our Rotary Garden every year!
The Rotary Club of Greater Flint Sunrise is proud to recognize our 2024 scholarship recipients.
Congratulations to our 2023 scholarship recipients!
The Rotary of Greater Flint Sunrise takes our commitment to maintaining a key gateway into downtown Flint seriously. The landscaping at the Court Street exit off of I-475 is groomed several times over the Spring and Summer to welcome those arriving into the downtown area. Club members volunteer to plant, prune and weed two main areas at the exit – while always adding in a bit of levity to this fellowship and community service activity.
What better way to conduct an orientation for eight new Greater Flint Sunrise members than to invite everyone to an enlightening evening of dinner and fellowship! On June 28th, new Club members, as well as the experienced ones, met at the Flint Golf Club for a delicious meal and an evening of sharing. Jeff Bennett was the emcee (never a dull moment when he's the presenter) who shared information about Rotary and our Club. Al Tucker explained the history of Rotary and Erin Shankie, our District 6330 Assistant Governor, explained how Rotary is much larger than the local club and actually is a global organization with clubs around the world. Even though the evening was focused on our new members, Jeff took a moment to ask each "seasoned" member to share their "Ah-Hah" moment! It was an amazing evening of information, great food and as always, filled with fun!
President Madonna Bennett and Scholarship Chair Tom Crampton along with our club members were excited to recognize Emily Hall from Flushing High School, Haley Williams from Grand Blanc Community Schools, and Kayla Ricker from Swartz Creek Community Schools as our 2018 scholarship winners! Of course, it's important to share a photo of the "village" that supports these amazing students! Congrats to all!!
New Members! New Momentum! Greater Flint Sunrise Rotary recently held a historic meeting as FIVE new members were welcomed into our club! Welcome to Flint Sunrise Angela Lots, Daniel Bartlett, Jr, Robert Rawls, Gregory Gaines, and Harold Hill!
Greater Flint Sunrise Rotary was excited to present over $10,000 in grants to Flint area organizations that uplift and support children today!
