The Burton Rotary Club inducted it's newest member - Amanda Doyle, on Thursday, October 19th. Amanda was sponsored by Dennis O'Keefe and is an Attorney for The City of Burton. We are excited to have Amanda in our club and look forward to her involvement in our many projects. Make sure to introduce yourself to Amanda Doyle and sign her booklet at the next Rotary Meeting!
On Thursday, August 17th, over 30 children from The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint received a bike courtesy of The Burton Rotary Club and CTI Inc. These bikes were donated to the club and reconditioned by local police departments, Rotary members and the staff at CTI. Thank you to Jeff Allen and his staff for helping to make this valuable project a huge success! Check out the photo album in the link at the bottom of this page.
What do you do if you live or work in Burton, Michigan on a Tuesday night? How about listen to live music at one of our area parks! That is exactly what over 50 residents did on Tuesday, August 1st at The Davison Roadside Park.

On Thursday, June 29th, The Burton Rotary Club held its annual changing of the guard and awards dinner at IMA Brookwood Banquet Center. The award winners for the year were:

President’s Award – Jeff Allen

Firefighter of the Year – Greg Prey

Police Officer of the Year – Donald Schreiber

Congratulations to all the award winners!

December 9th, 2016 - At the crack of dawn, your fellow Burton Rotarians hit the streets to collect donations for the annual Old Newsboys Paper Drive. Stationed at the corner of Davison road and M-15 our members braved the elements, speeding traffic and distracted drivers to help this worthy cause. For over 90 years, the Old Newsboys have brightened Christmas morning for over 800,000 children in Genesee County.

A big thank you to Jon Ragnone, Tim Look, Rene McMann, Marv Epperson, Steve Hatfield, Stacey Winchester, Joe Simpson and Tom Gorang for taking time out of your busy schedules to make this event a huge success! This is truly "Service Before Self".
On Friday, November 18th, The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint held their annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the kids at the club. Over 100 at-risk children from Flint and the surrounding area were treated to turkey, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, corn, rolls, salad and a variety of desert options. All made possible in part from a generous donation from The Burton Rotary Club. This is the third year the club has not only made a monetary donation, but also provided volunteers to help serve the food to the club members. "Without the support from community partners like The Burton Rotary, this dinner would not be possible" said Amber Miller, Director of Programs and Operations. "Most of the kids at the club are from low-income families and they do not have meals like this at home very often." added Miller.

Thank you to the Burton Rotary Club members who gave their time to help serve the youth of our community.
