Donna Greenway, a Rotarian for many years transferred her membership to the Northwest Spirit Rotary Club when it chartered in 2020. She and her husband Neil, avid travellers like the flexibility of belonging to a club that meets by Zoom.
Following through on her goal of making the year all about "Foundation & Fun" Donna is starting her year off on July 1st with "A Taste of Germany Volksfest" campout that will raise a few hundred dollars for End Polio Now. At the end of July the club is hosting the 1st annual Dawson Creek Ribfest that will see many of our widely located members spend the weekend having fun together while helping put on a great community family event that will also raise some funds to support Rotary projects.
Enthusiasm is infectious. On our club chat app Slack, Donna posted "I just registered Neil & I to go to the next Rotary International Convention in Singapore" By that evening 8 members and 1 club guest were registered to attend. Singapore here we come!!!
At work Donna is a Financial Advisor and Planner. She says that she loves her career because "I get to help people plan for their future" Donna and Neil spend lots of fun, active times with their kids and grandkids who all live in the North Peace area.
Joining Donna on the Northwest Spirit executive team are Devon Belcourt as the Past President, Christine Sutherland as President Elect, Shawn Blankinship as Treasurer, Brenna Schilds as Secretary, Diane Chorney as Rotary Foundation chair, Yvonne Remple as Membership Chair and Shirley Viens as Service Committee Chair.
