World Polio Day - Oct 24 2014

October 24th is World Polio Day.  This year, as in past years, as part of District 7080's campaign, our club participated by handing out End Polio Now pamphlets at the Meadowvale GO Station.  Please visit http://www.endpolio.org for more information.  Pictures from today's events here.
 
 
 
The purpose is to raise awareness about the End Polio campaign and to let people know that we are "this close" to eradicating polio.  All but three countries (Nigeria, Afghanistan and Pakistan) have been declared polio-free!
 
Thank you to club members, Kathy, Lynda, Narciso, Brad and David for helping out this year at the Meadowvale GO Station.   And a big thank you to D7080's Hajra Wilson, who organizes this event for District each year.
