Why I Became a Rotarian...Sheri Charles Rogers
Sheri Charles Rogers said that she was first introduced to Rotary when she was in high school and attended a meeting with her supervisor. In 2007, Ray B. invited her to the meetings and she was pleasantly surprised as to how accommodating and unselfish the members were. She also realized that she had spent 24 years growing her business (Family Insurance), and had consumed a lot of time on the administrative side of the business and had not done a great deal of “giving back”.
She is happy that she has joined Rotary because it gives her the opportunity through her service to get involved. She tries to volunteer at Bethlehem House monthly and she appreciates the warm feeling that she gets from providing the service. It also gives her the opportunity to teach her daughters about 'service above self' since she takes them with her.
Sheri thanks the Club for welcoming her; and she thanks her sponsor Ray B. for inviting her.
