THE RLI EXPERIENCE
Clubs and districts looking to train Rotarians as leaders at local levels can now access online a wide array of resources developed by The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI). Established in 1994 to assist in improving the Rotary knowledge and leadership skills of the future leaders of clubs and districts, RLI is a multi-district program already functional in Zones 31 and 32 in the United States, and is forming divisions around the world. Trainers are carefully selected from among Rotarians with outstanding leadership abilities and prepared to conduct innovative and participatory course sessions.
This past weekend, RLI's Sunshine Division provided leadership training on St. Thomas.
Training Task Force/Training Club Level Chairperson, PADG Diana White, was the coordinator for this training event. District 7020 Discussion Leaders and facilitators included Rotarians Brenda Armstrong, Cheryl George-Chance, Michael Levitt, Dan Flaherty, Alastair Paterson, Mary Finley-Jones, Don Chandler, Abe Clymer, Timothy Schuler, Stan Cahn, Roger White and Diana White.
Joining me for training from our club were Rotarians Eric Baynes, Ida White, Cheryl "CJ" Johnson, Lorraine Baa-Elisha and President-elect Beris Lynch. Our training weekend was also an excellent opportunity at fellowship. This was a fun bunch!
