ROTARY II WATER PROJECT

President Beris Lynch proudly reported that last week's water project seminar was a great success with over 50 students from our adopted school, Addelita Cancryn Jr. High, in attendance. President-Elect Simon K. Caines also attended the project.

Marcela Jennings and her husband of Auset Water Testing Lab conducted the seminar. Ms. Jennings covered topics to include water conservation, pollution, and recycling. The students were given the opportunity to win prizes during a trivia segment in the seminar.
President Beris has some trivia for you. Did you know that only 1% of the world's water is drinkable, that the human body is made up of 70% water or that there is no such thing as new water, we are using the same water that dinosaurs used many years ago? Why? Because water is recycled.

President Beris and PE Simon considered this project a fun way to educate and connect with the kids!
