Our Zone Director, Milt Jones, has had to resign from the board of RI due to health reasons. He only took up his role in July and sadly he will be unableto continue after 15th October. He will convene the Zone meetings in Orlando in October as his last duty.
Our own PDG Barry Rassin has been elected to serve on the board of RI in his place. Barry will be one of 17 RI Directors responsible for Zones 33 & 34. This is an amazing honour for Barry who deserves all the kudos and an incredible honour for our District. Barry will be the first from 7020 to serve as a Director and, according to DG Alastair, maybe only the second from the Caribbean. DG Alastair expressed, "we now have to knuckle down and continue to raise the bar in our District not just to improve our Service Above Self but to ensure that Barry can be proud of his District at that exalted level in Evanston. I am sure you would all like to join me in congratulating Barry on this incredible honour and wishing Esther and himself good luck and best wishes whilst he Leads the Way."
