Year in Review

The Rotary International Theme for 2009-2010 was the Future of Rotary is in Your Hands. Rotary II members spent a lot of time and energy under President Simon's administration investing in future generations. In keeping with our motto, "ServiceAbove Self..." we served the community and world together. Yes, while we were quite successful in getting many district awards and national awards we just had fun with each other and enjoyed each other's company. Not only did we fellowship with our immediate family of rotarians in our own club but we at Rotary II shared warm moments our fellow rotarians from other clubs everywhere.

Rotary II under President Simon was very busy in carrying out its long tradition of investing our community youth. This year we harvested seeds planted long ago ( the Scholarship and Enrich students) planted new seeds and planted a tree ( The New Rotaract Club) and we continued to nuture budding seeds (students at our adopted school). In addition we provided sunshine to many students thru the Gift of Words Project: giving Dictionaries and Thesauri to a lot of students in the V.I.
