PP Horace Callwood’s main reason for joining Rotary is indelibly imprinted on his mind:  he was impressed by the 4-Way Test.   He was introduced to Rotary by Claude Simmonds and it was at the time that the condominium raffle was in progress.  McLaughlin was president; and Pat Rice was the chairperson of raffle.   The raffle tickets were $100 each and Pat reported weekly on the progress of the raffle. The week that PP Horace attended the meeting, Pat reported that he had lost some tickets.  No one in the Club questioned Pat’s integrity.   Immediately PP Horace told Claude that he wanted to join the Club since this was a Club that believed what you say.

Meetings were held at the VI Hotel at 11:30 a.m. and there was a meeting before the meeting, and a meeting after the meeting, and   Claude made sure that PP Horace attended all three meetings on time.
