Why I Became a Rotarian: Mac Davis
Elliot "Mac" Davis is the Solicitor General at the Department of Justice where he has worked for many years. He has been a Rotarian since 1981 and has served Rotary II in many capacities, and presently serves on the Rainbow Fund Board.
PP "Mac" was a young lawyer when he became a Rotarian as a result of the coaxing of Atty. David Maas. At the time of his joining Rotary, the club meetings were held at the V. I. Hotel and the cost of lunch was a whopping $7.50. PP Mac has experienced joy in doing something for somone else, where he has received public recognition, but he especially likes when he does something for someone else and no one knows about it since he shuns away from public recognition.
PP Mac says he has respect, and affection for Rotary II and values the camaraderie and friendships which have lasted through the years.
