TOURISM'S PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

On December 8, 2010 the Department of Tourism was represented by Chantal Figueroa, Deputy Commissioner, and Allegra Kean Moorehead, Director of Communications. The power point presentation titled "Product Development" was very well executed and the question/answer section after the presentation was animated.
Objectives stated were:
•To enhance the visitor experience from arrival to departure
–Customer Care/ Greeter Program
–Secure data from visitors through our air and sea ports to inform the development of our tourism product
•Recommend policies which will result in long-term product development enhancements
•Create an atmosphere that supports personal ownership and responsibility of the tourism product by all Virgin Islanders
–Ambassador Program
–Tourism Awareness Campaign
