President, Marilyn Blackhall, and Secretary, Simon Caines, attended the convention on behalf of Rotary II. This was the first Rotary convention to be held in two coountries--Copenhagen, Denmark and Malmo, Sweden.
The event drew more than 14,700 attendeesfrom about 140 countries. The power of Rotary through club service and fellowship and the Rotary theme for this year, LEAD THE WAY, was emphasized by Bill Boyd, the new RI President who hails from Aukland, New Zealand.
Pictured is Prez, Marilyn, standing in the area where clubs, including Rotary II, exchanged and displayed their banners, making a most wonderful and powerful statement.
