ROTARY II ON JULY 11, 2012

The first meeting of the 2012-2013 year was called to order by the 34th president of Rotary II, President Cassandra Mallory, and the usual Rotary proceedings followed with:

Prayer:Past President Erva

4-Way Test:Past President Beris
Visiting Rotarian: Andrea Rose Woods, Rotary St. Thomas
Rotarians with guests: Rotarian Sinclair, son Matthew; Rotarian Jamil, Kenia, special guest of Rotary II, Yolande Joseph, Pres., Rotaract II
Raffle winner: Rotarian Krim won $100

Since this was a business meeting, the officers and committee chairs gave reports as to the direction in which they would lead the Club. Reports were given by the President, Secretary and the Treasurer. The Treasurer presented the Operating Account and the Charitable Donation Account budgets and these were subsequently amended and passed by the membership.

The Secretary announced that dues were overdue and payable immediately and gave a summary of the actions taken at the Board meeting. Included herein were the approval of the budgets, approval of application of Hugh Hunte for membership, accept proposal of Neil Prior as honorary member, give E-club $400 for application fee, create special ledger for E-club in Operating Account until E=Club is fully operational,

Committee chairs reports were given by New Generations, Public Relations and Service Projects. Yolande Joseph, president of Rotaract of St. Thomas II gave us the highlights of the speech that she made at her installation as president.
