PRESIDENT'S COUNCIL MEETING

ADG Diana White conducts a President's Council meeting each month in which club Presidents from St. Thomas, St. John and Inner Wheel are in attendance along with Club secretaries whose attendance is optional.   President Marilyn and Secretary Simon attended the meeting this month at Bolongo Beach Club.
Highlights of the meeting included:
1.DG Alastair Paterson will visit  St. Thomas/St. John from Wed. Nov. 8ththrough Mon. Nov. 13. Rotary II will host the Club Assembly on Thursday Nov. 9th at Frenchman's Reef. Another Assembly will be hosted by Rotary Charlotte Amalie on Saturday night, Nov. 11. The DG will be invited to attend the Inner Wheel Family Beach Picnic on Sun. Nov. 12. In addition to these events there will be visits to each club's special projects and individual board meetings. This will prove to be an eventful five days and we hope that members will participate.
2. Rotary Charlotte Amalie invites all Rotarians to their Fellowship Talent Program to be held on Tuesday, August 29 at the Holiday Inn. Rotarians from all clubs are invited to participate in the show.
3. Rotary East invites all Rotarians to their Fellowship Botanical Tour and BBQ on Saturday Sept. 2nd at 3PM.
4. Inner Wheel is planning a major black-tie fund raiser in February to be held at the Reichhold Center. Details to follow.
5. Local district training will be held to train a person from each club to provide Rotary information to their individual clubs. PDG Barry Rassin will conduct the training and participants will come from St. Thomas, St. John, the BVI and St. Martin. This is scheduled for Sept. 23rd.

Clubs are very active and there are lots of plans in the works. The Presidents' Council provides for sharing of information, cooperation and coordination amongst clubs.
