President Lorraine's August Message

My Fellow Rotarians:

It is almost unbelievable that August is here! This month which is deemed as Membership Month is a good reason to celebrate our great start of inducting three new and vibrant Rotarians with all good intentions of holding service above self as their new mantra .  They have  ignited and paved the way for us in reaching and surpassing our membership goals.  Active Membership or Honorary Membership is by invitation from a current Rotarian to professional or businesspersons working in diverse areas of endeavor. Their installation was a true testament to the fact that membership is mandatory in order for clubs around the world to survive.

The goal of every club is to promote service above self to the community we work in and to increase and sustain membership to the best of our ability.   I look forward to working with our club and encouraging our new members to take the lead and get involved ! It is the quickest and best way to become torchbearers of hope to the less fortunate!

I applaud their sponsors and look forward to reaching out to many more new members in the coming year as we recognize the many  joys and satisfactions of friendship and fellowship!

Yours in Rotary Service,

Lorraine Baa
