Member Spotlight: Albert Richardson
Albert Richardson's smile and the twinkle in his eye is worth a thousand words. When you first meet him, you are enriched by his wonderful personality, and you have no doubt in your mind, that you have met a 'true Caribbean man.'
Of course, Albert's roots are indeed Caribbean. He was born on St. Thomas to Kittitian and Dominican parents. He has an Anguillian surname with some Bajan roots. Albert has lived thoughout the Caribbean in St. Kitts, Nevis, Dominica, St. Croix, and, of course, St. Thomas, his home. A family man, Albert is married to Kali, and is the father of two sons, Kai and Xavier, who are his joy.
Albert majored in finance at the University of the Virgin Islands and was employed in that field as a banker for years. With the support of his wife, Kali, six years ago, Albert decided to venture forth as an entrepreneur.
This move provided him an opportunity to better serve the community through flexible scheduling. Rotary has given Albert the platform to serve his community more abundantly. As a former Rotarian of the Year, and, an active member of CrimeStoppers USVI, Albert seeks to give back to the community he loves, and the community that has sustained his business adventures.
In Albert's own words, " he loves life, enjoys its simple pleasures, while... staying true to his watch words: balance, and moderation."
