LAST WEEK AT ROTARY

When Rotarian Krim started our meeting with such inspiring prayer, we all knew it was only the prelude to fabulous fellowship!

Last week the Acting Principal of the Virgin Islands Career Institute, Dahlia Adams,

presented on a new initiative by the Department of Education that combines the Ralphael O. Wheatley Skills Center with the Day Adult Eduication Program. Now high school dropouts have the opportunity to get on track by earning their GED and learning a skill that will assist them in being productive members of society.  Ms. Adams shared literature containing the different programs offered at the institute to include cosmetolgy, carpentry, aviation and so much more.

On November 4th, Rotarian Cassie Mallory participated in the world's largest marathon - The New York City Marathon! After describing the awesome experience, Rotarian Cassie called on Rotarian Mac Davis and honored his never-dying courage by giving him the medal she earned at the NYC Marathon. We were so grateful to have been a part of such sincere expression. Rotarian Mac plans to participate in the marathon next year.
