YES! ROTARIANS!

While there has been recent dismal reports in the mass media that the aid sent to Haiti is having little impact, t he money and resources Rotarians (along with other partners) gave has been put toward immediate and long lasting relief all over the island of Haiti.

The projects Rotary has/is undertaking are not only relieving the Haitians present suffering but is also helping Haitians substain themselves in the future and become self-sufficient.

Barry Rassin in a reply to Rotary II's Past President Erva who was ruminating on issue that rotary's extraordinary deeds in as well as the efforts of the Haitians are being unheralded in the mass media stated, " While you may not see Rotary always in the press, believe me when I say the world community is well aware of what we do and supports us doing it."  ( Barry Rassin to PP Erva )

The following  is a synopsis of  the thirteen page Aug. 20 Haiti Report by Barry  Rassin.  It was sent to all Rotarians in our District who have given the district the right email address. The full report may also be accessed on District 7020 website.

PP Erva submitted the provided the following info: Haiti Relief. The Haiti Task Force   has a website - http://haiti-task-force.blogspot.com. The quick link to it is available on the District 7020 website. It is the only official website for Rotary District 7020 Haiti Task Force information. District 7020 established the Haiti Task Force as the conduit for all Foundation-related projects. The group does not replace the Club-to-Club connection. The Task Force simply ensures that we start off within The Rotary Foundation (TRF) terms for compliance. Rotary is in there for the long haul. There is an ongoing fundraiser for Haiti Relief through Rotary Zones 33 and 34 called Caribbean Partnership.
