DG VANCE CONFERS HONARY MEMBERSHIP

The regular meeting of August 22, 2012 of the Rotary Club of St. Thomas II was extra special as it marked the official visit of the District Governor, Vance Lewis, of the British Virgin Islands and District 7020. In addition to his words of encouragement to our Club, he conferred Honorary Membership status in Rotary II on Michele Downes, who is going to head up “Rotary E,” the first E Club in our District.  She has said that her heart will always be with Rotary II, and by becoming an Honorary member of our Club, she knows that she will always have our Club as her central Rotary home. We wish Michele all the best in her endeavors with the new E Club as it will be yet another way through which Rotarians can join in service projects here at home, and in the rest of the world.
