DG ALASTAIR ADDRESSES JOINT ASSEMBLY

DG Alastair installs two new Rotarians including Alan Tobin sponsored and pinned by our very own Merle Kiture-Morgan . WE WELCOME NEW ROTARIAN ALAN AND HOPE THAT ALL OF OUR MEMBERS WILL EXTEND THE HAND OF FELLOWSHIP AS WE HELP HIM TO BECOME AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF OUR CLUB.
On Thursday, November 9th, District Governor Alastair Paterson addressed a Rotary Joint Assembly sponsored by Rotary St. Thomas and Rotary St. Thomas II. He inducted a member into Rotary St. Thomas and Alan Tobin into Rotary St. Thomas II in a moving and inspirational ceremony in which he asked each member if they were ready to embrace the 4 WAY TEST and to LEAD THE WAY.
DG Alastair was impressed by the works of our local Rotary clubs and encouraged continued Rotarian participation in projects geared toward battling health and hunger, illiteracy and lack of freshwater in some countries.
During his visit, DG Alastair and his wife Meg visited Rotary II's adopted Anna's Retreat Sr. Center, met with our Board, was interviewed by Pres. Marilyn and Sec. Simon on the R.E.A.C.H radio program and toured the CK Cancer Center where he saw the lobby donated by Rotary II. He also visited with other clubs and their Boards and viewed their project.
All in all it was a busy but wonderful visit.
