Career Day Chair, Rotarian Charlotte Brown Ramos with her student escort for the morning, Tekeya Smith.

Last Tuesday, November 15th, Rotary II really stepped up to the plate and represented for the benefit of the students of our adopted school, Addelita Cancryn Junior High.  They engaged the students in lively discussion with topics including setting career goals, preparing for your first job, and maintaining a professional look and attitude.  This year representatives from many organizations participated with Rotary II including WAPA, the Department of Labor, FirstBank, BPPR, the VIPD and other emergency response agencies. Some presented technical displays and advanced equipment related to their jobs. One highlight was when a helicopter service company landed two helicopters on the school's field.

For their participation, ACJHS faculty and Principal Yvonne Pilgrim presented Rotarians with certificates of participation.  Career Day Chair Rotarian Charlotte  wants to thank the Rotarians that participated with such short notice for the morning long event. Kudos to Arturo Watlington, Jr., Ida White, Sinclair Wilkinson, Merle Kiture-Morgan, and President Lorraine Baa.
