ACJHS BOOK PARADE

Posted by Ida White

The Rotary Club of St. Thomas II is so pleased to congratulate our adopted Junior High School, Addelita Cancyn on their wonderful 7th annual Book Parade held Friday, April 23rd.

The air of excitement was pervasive and the students were ready to parade. Their costuming was beautiful. The parade started approximately 9AM and went from ACJHS 'up de road' to Griffith Park, and after brief demos at Griffith Par, the parade returned to ACJHS. At ACJHS, the students then began their demonstrations surrounding the stories they read before the judges, their fellow students, faculty and staff. SAA Ray was the announcer, Carla Joseph one of the Judges. President Simon, PE Eric, Rotarian Merle, Rotarian Ida, and Rotarian Brenda, (our Liaison, who did a wonderful promotion) were the paraders, and, we did have fun leading the parade!!!
