St. John Rescue is everywhere, all the time and we thank them for their efforts on our behalf.
This week we will discuss options for our summer literacy program, and meet the new owners of St. John Valet Waste Services, who are anxious to get started and committed to helping us all recycle more.
The men and women of Rescue are taken for granted, since they do such a great job of responding. So far this year, and we just finished March, we have reached 70% of last year's total accidents. It is incumbent on our community to make sure our first responders have the equipment they need to save lives on St. John!
What a wonderful event the Blues Blow Out was. Wonderful music, well attended and well organized. We brainstormed on April Fools' Day (as there are many), and came up with a few ideas to make next year's event even better.
We were a happy bunch for Polio Plus, happy to have John Fuller and Tom Shirey with us, happy we almost have the location for our evening meeting set, happy for such great music, just plain happy.
