Prez Says

We were happy to welcome Kaitlyn Cummings, our scholarship recipient to last week’s meeting.  She is studying at Florida Gulf Coast University and has declared Communications as her major.  She is also enjoying acting, and brought home all As and one B+!

Also visiting was Jacqueline’s daughter, Monetta, who was a youth sailing instructor and raced with the San Diego Yacht Club for a decade.  She hopes to spend more time on St. John and will become active in the community.

Martha Toomey and Tom Shirey rounded out our visitors and helped us develop a list of projects the club might be interested in.

This week we welcome representatives of the Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation and their book, “Josh the Baby Otter” which has been distributed to over 120,000 children, all about water safety. 

In addition, we hope to have visiting St. Thomas Rotarian Erick Ackerman with us to talk about membership drives.  Please join us to welcome them.
