We have been blessed with great speakers at our meetings this month.

We had an eye-opening meeting with chiropractor, Dr. Alan Platt.  Alan spent ten years on Tortola and then three on St. Lucia.  He has returned to  settle on St. John and is currently wading through the morass of red tape to become licensed in the USVI.

After multiple car and other accidents when young, Dr. Platt found himself partially paralysed from nerve damage.  He was told he wouldn't ever walk normally, so began to study and learn about the body, the bones and the nerves.  Now he water and snow skis, plays tennis and is an avid diver.  He also goes for regular chiropractic sessions and has recovered greatly because of a daily therapeutic stretching routine, which he wants to share with as many people as he can.

So every twenty minutes, sit up straight and roll your shoulders up and back several times to loosen your neck muscles.  Your head weighs ten pounds so keep it up!  Get a wireless keyboard for your tablet and prop the screen up higher than the keyboard,  so you can look straight at it.

We were quite a sight, all in a row, doing his two minute stretch-- bending over and letting our arms and heads drop toward the ground, while breathing deeply for two minutes!
