B. J., Angela and Alecia all attended the District Conference in Nassau, Bahamas.

The training was great, and enthusiasm was high.  The Rotary Club of St. John won a District Governor's award for excellence, a club of the month entry award, and a Zone 34 public awareness award!  Alecia represented us well on the stage.  We were reminded of the importance of running our club according to the governing documents and in compliance with Rotary International standards.  But it seems our fifth motto:  "Is it fun?" has spread to many other clubs in the district.  But membership invoices will be send out the first of June, and payment will be due by the end of the month.

We had a very rewarding session with Dr. Ben Sachs, who is instrumental in establishing an accredited medical school in the USVI.  There will be two campuses, with St. Thomas being more traditional, and St. Croix being virtual--doctors will be able to fly down and train virtually in many different disciplines, including very technical surgeries.  Fascinating stuff!

We are already gearing up for Children's Carnival Village, June 29-July 3.  And we expect to have an all-club planning assembly in July for the new Rotary Year.
