What a great new venue for our Rotary Club of St. John weekly meetings!  The upper level of Gallows Point's restaurant is quiet and breezy with a wonderful view.
There was much discussion about a vocational school for St. John--possible location (Cruz Bay, Centerline, Coral Bay), curriculum ( hotel training, food service, electrical, plumbing, computer skills, real estate, maritime services, beauty, landscaping to mention but a few).  There was no question about Rotary St. John's commitment to this project.  The VI Department of Labor gives grants each summer for workforce training.  We can start the training now, while we find a location for the campus.

Members, please all contribute to the Rotary Foundation.  Every contribution helps make a difference in our community and in the world. You are expected to contribute some amount each year.

St. John Rotary members Lit up the Night at the cancer relay Saturday, selling virgin painkillers and chocolate cake.  Everybody walked laps and BJ even sprinted one lap with friend Curtis Penn (who ran many many laps).  It is important for our members to be front and center at community events, to remind St. John of our dedication.
