Join the St. John Rotary Club this Wednesday November 30th  at our noon meeting,to welcome the new owner of Estate Concordia.

Holland Duell is from Charleston, SC, and has great plans to bring “Positive Impact Tourism” to St. John.  The meeting will be at Westin’s Lemongrass Restaurant by their dock. Everyone is welcome, lunch is optional.

It’s been a busy November on little St. John!  Despite the endless rain, the water is draining and our streets are filling up with visitors instead--local merchants are smiling again.  Christmas decorations are popping up around town and before we know it, the high season will be in full swing.

Flavors—A Taste of St. John was a great success, with wonderful restaurants, fabulous wines from around the world, and Cool Sessions Brass to keep things moving.  The winners are:  Creative Catering for Mixology, Asolare for appetizer, Vista Mare for entrée and Waterfront Bistro for dessert.  The People’s Choice was a tie between the new restaurant upstairs at the Westin, Knox & Ollie’s,  and the Gifft Hill School Farm to Table students, which portends well for our  culinary future!  We had scores of auction items and have some that didn’t achieve the minimum bid left over; so will test the waters at www.biddingowl.com with those items by December 15th.  Please check them out, you might find just the right Christmas present at your fingertips.
December 7th we will have Rafe Boulon, naturalist and long-time St. John resident with us for an update on the island’s flora and fauna, its history and future.  Please join us and bring a friend.
