This week at our 5:30 pm Wednesday evening meeting at Westin's Snorkels Bar/Grill, we welcome Rachel Fischer and Julie Armstrong of the CDC, who will bring us important information about the mosquito-borne virus, ZIKA.  Please pass the word and invite everyone!

It is hard to believe the Rotary year is almost over.  We should all feel very proud of what we have accomplished...

From bringing sixty thousand free books into the territory, to providing school supplies, dictionaries and planners to every St. John school child, and then hosting the best ever Flavors, our club left its mark on St. John in 2015.  In 2016, we continued our work by having two winners in the Butterfly Storybook writing contest, partnering with the Blues Festival, interviewing outstanding St. Johnian students for our scholarship program and at the end of this month, hosting Children's Carnival Village.  Anyone who would like to volunteer at the village, June 29-July 3, should please contact Symone James at Sym1_2005@yahoo.com

The hard work of our dedicated members--with the support of the entire St. John community, has proven that our Rotary club continues to be an important element in Love City.

The board of directors will be discussing the Westin's invitation to return to their restaurant for Wednesday lunch meetings, while keeping one evening meeting a month, starting in July.  We will schedule a full club assembly to plan for the future and evaluate the past.  And we will move forward,  as a strong cohesive group, intent on doing good for our community and the world.
