Most business people agree that mentoring our youth is a great way to expose them to different possible careers.
With that in mind, St. John Rotary is pleased to welcome Ms. Dara Battiste, Business Instructor at the Julius E. Sprauve School to our meeting this Wednesday. Dara teaches 7th and 8th graders and is partnering with St. John Rotary to establish a 'Job Shadowing' activity where these students will each shadow a Rotarian or other business partner on St. John. We hope what the students experience while shadowing, will give them an idea of the variety of careers on St. John; and also that the experience will help prepare them for good resume writing, dressing for job interviews, correct handshake, after the interview follow up letters, to name a just few important business things.
So please join us this Wednesday, and bring your non-Rotarian business partners, too!
