Our thoughts and prayers go to all those affected by the tragedy in Paris. It is sad to see such darkness in the City of Light.
The next three weeks here on our blessed islands will be busy ones.
Wednesday's meeting is our third of the month, so we will all gather at Snorkels by the Westin pool at 5:30 for fellowship and then to induct our newest St. John members. Assistant District Governor, Marston will be with us. We will also go over final details for our annual fundraising event, Flavors--A Taste of St. John, to be held at the Westin ballroom this Saturday. The committee has worked diligently and successfully to entice restaurant and catering entrants and to have a robust silent auction. Everyone will enjoy the moment when all is in place and we can just enjoy the evening and the band!
Gallows Point's 362 restaurant will be hosting a morning-after brunch from ten until two, donating a portion of the proceeds to our Rotary Foundation account, everyone is encouraged to come.
The following week is Thanksgiving and immediately after that, our District Governor will be visiting the USVI. DG Felix will be on St. John Wednesday for a board meeting and then lunch at Caneel. There will be no club meeting that week; instead, there will be a joint meeting of all USVI North clubs at Frenchman's Reef the evening of December 3rd. Cost is $40 and I need to know early next week how many of our St. John members will attend. No tickets will be sold at the door and the hotel needs its guarantee well in advance!
