St. John Rotary was given a plethora of information from the St. John Community Foundation in the person of  Michele who is filling in while Celia is on vacation.
 
 
 We know that many groups and organizations work for St. John, particularly in the event of hurricanes and other disasters.  
The St. John Community Foundation is attempting to coordinate all these agencies and organizations, according to the abilities of its members.  Call the Foundation at 340-690-9410 for  further information and to register your organization.  Much training is available, so let us all get the most for St. John because when the ports are closed, we are on our own!

The Rotary Clubs of the British Virgin Islands have invited The Rotary Clubs of the U.S. Virgin Islands for a day of friendship and fellowship being held at the Lambert Beach Resort on the eastern end of Tortola (about 15 minutes from Roadtown). This beautiful resort is situated on a sandy beach and also has a very large swimming pool.  
 
ACTIVITIES:
  • Volleyball, Beach, Pool and Table games      
  • Welcome Breakfast and Beach BBQ Lunch
  • Well stocked bar
  • Music
  • NEW!! Coal Pot Fungi Cook-Off - with the introduction of a roaming trophy to be awarded annually to the winning Island (BVI clubs will supply additional details).
  • NEW!! Creative Juices Signature Drink Competition (all rums must be from the BVI) - with the introduction of a roaming trophy to be awarded annually to the winning Island (BVI clubs will supply additional details).
TRANSPORTATION TO TORTOLA FROM ST THOMAS – TOTAL INCLUDING TAXES $85 (details to follow)
  • Must travel with a valid passport
  • Smith’s Ferry accepts cash
  • Smith's have agreed to make a stop in STJ on the way over from STT to pick up the STJ Rotarians (arrival time will be about 8:20) - you can pay for your ticket on the boat
  • Roundtrip ticket price is $65
  • Departure from Roadtown at 5:00 (please be there a half hour early) via Native Son and your Smith’s Ferry round trip ticket will be honored
  • $20 departure tax will be collected in Tortola
  • Native Son will stop in STJ to clear customs and so STJ Rotarians can disembark.
