The Rotary Club of St John and the Coral Bay Satellite Club of St John met at Chateau Bordeaux for a joint meeting to welcome DG Jeremy Hurst and First Lady Michelle. Luncheon followed a board meeting with an inspirational address by DG Jeremy. He asked us to continue to engage Rotarians, and the good works we do.

DG Jeremy shared insights from his other club visits, and told us that large or small, all clubs are facing the same challenges. He offered a number of strategies for meeting these challenges. He discussed the "re-branding" of Rotary.  While we have always considered our "customers" as the communities we serve, he reminded us that our number one customer is our very own members. They joined Rotary to accomplish something, to give, to serve and it is up to us to provide those opportunities.  I liken this concept to the airline safety message to put your own oxygen mask on before helping others. So fellow Rotarians, if you haven't been tasked with something meaningful to do in our clubs, just standby because you will be!
