2008 Blues Festival

Saturday, March 22nd, was our second largest fund raiser - selling beverages at the St John Blues Festival, thanks to Steve and Helen Simon. Hearty Rotarians and numerous "Friends of Rotarians" set up under the Coors Light tents to sell water, soda, beer, wine, and mixed drinks to the record crowd at the Coral Bay Ball Field.

Volunteers (Rotarians in italics) were John and Lee Fuller, Meredith and Bill Small, Jerry and Nancy Senger, Miles Stair, David Carlson and Karen Radtke, Bill and Joan Gross, Joe Garza, Doug and Leslie White, Brian Bell and Subha Narasimhan, Michelle and Rich Carle, Ralph & Cindy Antolino, Joan Bermingham, Vicki Rogers, Harvey Werbel, BJ Harris and Tom Shirey, Vicky Pedersen, Sheila Karcher, Deborah Marsh and daughter Kristen, Ronnie Klingsberg, Bruce and Sharon Schoonover, Tammy, Ganson and Preston Pollock. Thanks also to Alan Johnson of St John Ice, Cid Hamling of Connections, and the Westin St John Resort and Villas for their support.

We had just over $12,000 in sales, and the proceeds will go toward our scholarships and other community service projects.
