In addition to the funds raised by the Rotary Club of Provo, Carnival Cruise Lines and theUnited
Way of Miami donated generously and made this project
possible.
Here is a picture of one of the tanks at the Medical Clinic. The tank has been drained, power washed and emptied. The wooden rafters were inspected and repaired or replaced as required. The battens on the top were replaced with 2x4's to strengthen the design. The metal sheeting will go on top and be screwed to the 2x4 battens.
We are obviously delighted by how quickly our partner, Projetech Construction, has moved on this project. There are several other tanks to be repaired and we are well on track to have this completely prior to hurricane season. Way to go Projetech!
