Rotary Park Grace Bay Clean Up
Thank you to all the Rotarians who came out to clean up the Rotary park in Grace Bay between Somerset and Sibonne on Saturday 13th August at 6.30am.
Rotary veterans ADG John & 2 crew, Club Service Director Norma, VP Raymond and Projects Director Mary were assisted by Rotarians in training O’Neal Delancy and Kanzy Dillon, plus Kanzy’s son Rhyan. Several bags of rubbish – mainly beer bottles – were collected. The trees and bushes were trimmed, leaves were raked and bagged and a lot of loose plant material was piled up in the corner ready for the TCI Waste skip which is scheduled to arrive this Friday. Two labourers are due to fill the skip and repair a major leak in the irrigation which was discovered during the clean up. Thanks also goes to Mike from Bay Bistro at Sibonne who kindly provided free drinks to Rotarians after the clean up.
