Cleaning Up Grand Turk

APRIL 1, 2009 -- The Rotary Clubs of Provo and Grand Turk continue to help get Grand
Turk and Salt Cay back on their feet after Hurricanes Ike and Hannah
last fall. RCOP recently sponsored a 'big stuff' clean up to help
remove some of the larger debris still strewn around our nation's
capital.

last fall. RCOP recently sponsored a 'big stuff' clean up to help
remove some of the larger debris still strewn around our nation's
capital.
Funds raised from our Hurricane Relief efforts are being put to good use with this project, as well as the installation of a sewage treatment plant, the rebuilding of water tanks, the planting of trees, and other community projects to help restore the beauty and charm of Grand Turk.
Our clubs are partnering with other organizations such as Red Cross, Salvation Army, United Way and private sectors companies like Projectech, Carnival Cruise Lines, CBMS and Sunshine Nursery on various projects.
