If you have not completed your registration for the 2015 District 7020 Conference taking place from May 12-16, 2015 please make sure you do it soon. There are about approximately 76 Rotarians from the 3 Grand Cayman clubs who indicated an interest to attend the 2015 Conference. Conference early bird pricing will change in October and Half Moon Bay space reservations will need to be released if booking don't happen soon.

Members should take advantage of this opportunity to fellowship and network with so many local Rotarians as well as Rotarians from within the District. Who knows what future business, personal or service opportunity will come from this 5 day event.

The cost of the District 7020 Assembly & Conference is - US$170.00. Rotarians and Rotaractos welcomed District Rotaract Representative, Elisia Lake, from St. Maarten to Cayman during a Happy Hour event last Saturday at Royal Palms!

   

You may have heard me (Treasurer John) talk about this initiative which has been approved for this Sunrise year.  It might suit some of you as an alternative way of raising funds, although clearly not everyone.  The idea is that you could be individually responsible for raising money for the club.  You might have some proposals that have worked for you in the past or some fresh new projects and just want to got on with them.

The board has approved that anyone committing to an individual fundraising target needs to declare this option and at the same time let me know what your plans are.  For my first project, I’m going to be running a dinner party fairly soon (providing the food and wine) where I will ask people make a donation to attend - I think I’ll raise $600.  You might host a wine tasting, a cocktail evening, a knock out football match or a music appreciation event; you could do it as a small team (maybe even make it a committee event); some of you might just get out your cheque book for the $1,500 or make a monthly donation totalling the same.  It’s up to you.
