The EarlyactClub sponsored by Rotary Sunrise at the George Town Primary School is known to be a very fun group and interest in becoming a member is increasing!
We have 13 kids continuing from last year and our liaison in the school, Ms. Chow, will approach these kids and we expect to have another 10-15 more signing up.
The first official meeting should have been held and new members inducted. Members for board positions will now be nominated after which they will then present their election speeches and club will vote.
Join them at a meeting if you can, to see what these youngsters in the Rotary family are planning! Contact myself (Ivana) or VP Deirdre for more info.
The World's Greatest Happy Hour
Submitted by Rotaract Grand Cayman
This event will be hosted by RCGC and we will be doing a live streaming at the event with the entire Rotary family here in Grand Cayman and with others around the world. The event will take place at Cayman Cabana (next to Casanova restaurant) from 5:30 pm and we will be sharing the good work of Rotary International and RCGC with members of our community. Proceeds from the Raffle prizes sold, donations, pin purchases and the drink and food items bought off of our signature menu will go towards RCGC goal of hitting USD 2,000 for this year!
Please tell your friends, your work colleagues, post on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Hi5, all over!! Let's make this a great event!
Last Week at Rotary Sunrise... Submitted by Communications
If you weren't able to join us at last week's meeting, here is a quick rundown of what happened:
The guest speaker was Eric "Busha" Clarke, Conference Chair from the 2015 District 7020 Conference to be held in Montego Bay, Jamaica. He urged Cayman Rotarians to register and make bookings early as it's sure to become a sold out conference;
We also heard about upcoming Club Elections and the slate was presented for 2015-2016 Board of Directors, (nominations are still open);
Treasurer John Lee spoke about ideas for individual fundraising efforts and
Rotary Sunrise made a generous donation to LIFE (Literacy is for Everyone) and Andrea Bryan presented the cheque to LIFE Chairman, Woody Foster.
