The Rotary Grace

O God and giver
of all good,

We thank thee for
our daily food.

May Rotary friends
and Rotary ways,

Help us to serve thee
all our days.
The 4-Way Test

Of the things we
think, say, or do:

Is it the truth?

Is it fair to all concerned?

Will it build goodwill
and better friendships?

Will it be beneficial
to all concerned?
"Club Dues" Due on July 1: Club Membership Dues for the new Rotary year 2014-2015 have been emailed out to all active members of the club. If you did not get an email from Treasurer John please make sure you talk with him at this week's meeting. Membership dues were due on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 but there is also a payment plan option available. Thank you to those members who have already paid.

Additional Submission by Treasurer John
Rotary Sunrise annual dues should be paid before 1st July 2014.  Please make your payments promptly this year.  The club has some major payments to make at the start of the year to the District and Rotary International.  In view of our support for the District Conference, cash flow is tight and your help in prompt payment will really help this situation.

You can pay your dues to the following account at Butterfield Bank in the Cayman Islands:
Name of Account:       Rotary Sunrise Operations
Account Number:        02101037624
Reference:                  <Your Name>

Or, make out a cheque payable to Rotary Sunrise.
(For US$ cheques, please convert using CI$0.82 to US $1.00)

3 for 1 Deal...Make-Up Alert!
Submitted by Secretary Gina

Please note, the Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman will not be meeting this Thursday, July 17 due to a Joint Rotaract Club Meeting tomorrow evening Wednesday, July 16 with Rotaract Blue at Royal Palms (room behind the pool) at 6pm.

DG Paul Brown will be welcomed at this Rotaract meeting so if you were not planning on attending our Joint Rotary club meeting at Thursday lunch then please take this opportunity to go to the Rotaract meeting.

This is your opportunity to:
a. Meet the new District Governor on his official visit to Cayman
b. Visit a Rotaract club meeting (if you have never visited one) and show your support as a Sunrise Rotarian
c. Claim a make-up for any missed regular meetings in the past 2 weeks or within the next 2 weeks.

Now that is quite the 3 for 1 deal! This year's District theme is "Inspire Youth...Build Rotary".

New Member Sponsor Recognition Program
Submitted by Secretary Gina

Rotary International has introduced a new recognition program for Rotarians who Sponsor New Members. The New Member Sponsor Recognition Program is an exiting new initiative approved by the Rotary International Board of Directors. It honours Rotary members who sponsor new members. All sponsors of members admitted to Rotary on or after 1 July 2013 are eligible to receive a special designed membership pin and coloured pin backer from Rotary in recognition of their commitment to the organization's membership growth. A current member who sponsors one new member will receive a recognition pick with a blue backer. As additional members are sponsored, new coloured backers will be awarded to signify the sponsor's achievement.

Sponsors will also have opportunities to be acknowledged in the Membership Recognition Gallery that will soon appear onwww.rotary.org, as well as in regional magazines and other Rotary publications. Members who earn gold backers and beyond and who are in attendance at the Rotary International Convention will be invited to join the RI president for a special recognition event.

Club presidents, district governors, and district governors-elect will have access to summary reports that show an overview of all new members and their sponsors. Rotary Sunrise is excited to support this new RI program and will be honouring our sponsors who qualify for the program once pins arrive. In the meantime, ask an associate who you think may be interested in learning more about Rotary to come visit a club meeting as a guest.
