It's so hard to say farewell.
One of the privileges I have as President of Rotary Sunrise is the ability to review Rotary International's membership roster for our club. So, I'm taking this time as the end of the current Rotary year draws to a close to bid farewell to the members who have left our club since July 1st of 2013.

I have also recently received transfer requests from Rotarian Nigel Twohey and from District Secretary and Past President Rosie Twohey. Both are switching to the Mother Club (RCGC) and although it's painful to see them leave Sunrise, we know that they are following their hearts and we certainly are grateful that they will remain within the Family of Rotary in the Cayman Islands. Our doors will always be open to welcome them warmly as visiting Rotarians and Past Sunrisers.
Two other Sunrise members, Rotarian Chris Anco and Past Secretary Ciara Aspinall are considering transfers into the District 7020 E-Club of the Caribbean due to distance and time challenges. The E-Club is absolutely delightful, with 24/7/365 online meetings and a weekly "live" Happy Hour Hangout every Saturday morning. Rotarians Chris and Ciara will be in excellent company as members of the E-Club with such District luminaries as that club's President Kitty Bucsko and PDG Diana White.
If you haven't checked out the E-Club and you find yourself needing a make-up, just go to:
But this Rotary year hasn't been entirely devoted to fond farewells. We also have been blessed with a host of energized and eager newcomers to the Sunrise family. So three cheers for our newest Sunrisers!

We also have several potential members waiting in the wings--some are transferring in from other clubs and some will be brand new Rotarians. But all will be part of an amazing club whose members have successfully weathered the storms that fate has tossed our way.
We are family. We are Sunrisers.
We engage Rotary. We change lives.
And we ARE making the world a better place.
What could be better than that?
