Rotary Central's RYLA Students are back!

Rotary Central recently sponsored four Cayman Islands students to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards conference from April 8-11, 2010 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The event has hundreds of students from the Florida area and around the world as attendees. The goal is to give young people the opportunity to interact with a variety of leadership role models and to be taught by recognized authorities in the fields of leadership training and social development. We like to say that the leaders to tomorrow (our delegates) meet the leaders of today. Cayman students Jose Ardilia (John Gray High School), Kelcey Huggins (St Ignatius), Ashawni Trusty (John Gray High School), and Whitney General (Cayman Prep) were assisted by Rotary Central's Past President Peter Schmidt who was responsible for their transportation.
