Changeover Night

On Friday, June 25th our Changeover Night was held, jointly with Rotaract Blue, at the Marriott Beach Resort. It was a very well attended evening and a successful changeover! The MCs for the evening were PP Mario and Marzeta Booden, from Rotaract Blue - a great job done by both! President Tricia Cacho gave an interesting outline of the work of Rataract Blue over the last year and then ADG Rosie undertook the installation of thenew President, Sheraim Mascal,for Rotaract Blue 2010/11. This was followed by the installation of officers. Rpt. Desiree Charles then presented the Paul Harris Fellows for Rotary Central and this was followed by remarks from the outgoing President, Paul Byles. ADG Rosie then undertook the installation of President Wil Pineau for the 1020/11 Rotary Year and this was followed by the installation of officers. President Wil outlined his hopes and aspirations for the year, which included a focus on Youth. He then introduced guest speaker, Collin Anglin, who is the recipient of the Young Caymanian Leadership Award 2010. Mr. Anglin talked about the importance of investing in the country's youth and commended Rotary Central for its focus on this issue in the coming year. The evening concluded with Sergeant-at-Arms Dave Phipps drawing the raffle. A pleasant evening had by all!
