The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman is part of a global network of more than 1.2 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who volunteer their skills and resources to address community needs. Here in the Cayman Islands, we seek every opportunity to give back through hands-on service projects and fundraising for local and international causes.

Our story. Chartered by Rotary International on November 8, 1965, RCGC is the oldest Rotary club in the Cayman Islands and the "mother club" that has sponsored every other Rotary club in the territory — Cayman Brac (1981), Grand Cayman Central (1986), Grand Cayman Sunrise (2002), and Grand Cayman Sunset (2023). We are part of District 7020 and Rotary Zone 34. Now in our seventh decade of service, we remain proud of a legacy that includes the construction of the Bonaventure Boys Home and the Frances Bodden Girls Home, the introduction of Meals on Wheels to Cayman, and beloved community traditions such as the Heroes Square Christmas tree lighting and carol concert and the Boxing Day lunch for seniors.

Who we are. With approximately 100 members ranging in age from their 20s to their 80s, our membership is a fair representation of Cayman's business and professional community — people united by a passion for fellowship and a commitment to making a difference. RCGC members' generosity to The Rotary Foundation is well known in the District and the wider Rotary world, with two Arch Klumph Society members, and an impressive number of Major Donors to TRF's Annual Fund and its Endowment. We meet weekly on Thursdays, the "lunchtime club" of Cayman's Rotary family. Our club has provided seven District Governors to District 7020 and one Director to Rotary International Zone 34, over the years.

Service Above Self. Whether we're reading to schoolchildren during Literacy Month, handing out free bike lights to keep cyclists safe after dark, or raising funds for those in need, our work is guided by Rotary's motto: Service Above Self.

Welcome to the Committee Pages, where you'll find detailed information about the committee structure of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman.

Each year, the incoming Board of Directors and Officers sets the goals and projects that each committee will carry out. The Director of each committee recruits club members eager to take action on the planned projects and help ensure their success. All members are encouraged to sign up for at least one committee, and many serve on more than one — in addition to supporting the community service and fundraising projects that are every member's shared responsibility.
