The Peace & Arts Competition was launched on World Day of Peace to raise awareness and emphasize the importance of multicultural understanding, world peace and conflict resolution.  The Competition was opened to students of Primary Schools and High Schools throughout the British Virgin Islands.   Primary School entries were in the form of a poster board that depicts "What World Peace means to you."  High School Students entries Grades 7 -9 was a written essay with 450 - 600 words on "Why conflict resolution is important" and Grades 10 -12 was a filmed video, 5 - 7 minutes long on "Multi-cultural awareness in the B.V.I.".
 
 
 
 
The Club received 20+ entries from seven (7) schools in the British Virgin Islands.  The entries were judged on Creativity, Originality, Relevance, Content, Spelling, Overall Impact, Grammar, Composition and Production.  Winners received their prizes at the Rotary Club of Tortola Luncheon on 23rd February 2017.  Some of their parents and teachers were present to participate int he celebration.
