On October 1st, members of the Rotary club of Tortola took part in a harmonious activity filled with laughter and many surprises as members sang their hearts out in the club’s first Karaoke night. The event took place at Bamboushay Restaurant and Lounge in the heart of Road Town Tortola.

Unlike any other typical karaoke event, this one had a twist: For $3.00 any attendee was allowed to nominate any other attendee to sing a song of their choosing. That individual then had the option to take to the stage and sing the tune or open their wallet, and an additional $2.00 to select a different song or pay double to opt for a complete pass.

Taking the prize for the best individual singer was Past Assistant Governor Lorna Smith and the winner of the best family singer were President Valerie of the Rotary Club of Tortola along with her family.
Funds raised at the event will be donated towards the club’s contribution to Rotary International’s end polio fund. In total, the club has raised $1420.00
