On September 27th, 2025, members of the Rotary Club of Tortola gathered at St. George’s Primary School to launch our hopscotch painting project. This initiative aims to bring color, fun, and creativity to the school grounds while providing students with a positive and interactive way to learn and play.
The first phase is now underway, and the finishing touches will be completed in the coming week.
On September 27th, 2025, the Rotary Club of Tortola kicked off its hopscotch painting project at St. George’s Primary School. This creative initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to support education and youth development by adding fun, engaging, and meaningful activities to the lives of students.
Rotarians came together on Saturday morning to begin painting the vibrant design. While the project is still in progress, the first phase was a success, with the outline and base colors already transforming the schoolyard into a more welcoming and playful space. The work will continue next week until the design is fully complete.
“This is what Rotary is all about coming together to serve and to make a difference where it matters most, with our children and schools,” said Rotarian Tiffiany Scatliffe, Youth Services Director.
Community Service Director, Rotarian Kelvin Liburd, added: “Projects like this show how simple ideas can create lasting joy for our young people. It’s a small effort for us, but it makes a big difference in the lives of the students who will use it every day.”
Club President, Rotarian Violeta Gual, shared: “Our focus this year is to unite for good and create visible, lasting impact in our community. This project reflects the heart of Rotary service that inspires smiles and strengthens the bond between our club and the next generation.”
